First, what you need is to recognize is the location of your trouble!

First think to look at is when you are communicate with anywhere.COM you are talking on a WAN (Internet); the first thing to remember is your computer speeds is based on the SLOWEST Point, and most of the times this point is your connection to your ISP.

So have that Terabit (1 Tb) Home Network; this does not mean you are having a connection speeds of 1,000 Gb. Look at your ISP connection speed, it may only be a 3 Mb connection speed, and this mean up to 3,000,000 bits per second (3 Mb) and your network is sreaming at 1,000,000,000,000 bits per second (1 Tb).

Just like driving down US Hwy 1 and the posted speed limit is 60 MPH and the two cars in front of you riding side by side and they are only moving at 40 MPH; how fast can you go? Yes the speed limit is 60 but the slowest point is 40 until you can get around them. But you are still limited to 60 even though your car can go 200 MPH.

So, the Server hosting ABC.COM is transmitting at though a dial-up connections, it will be very-slow and not your computer, so you have no control over it.

You can check your connection speed with this link

Your first Local Area Network

At first it is hard to tell if you are on your computer or LAN or WAN

Are you receiving this page from?

Your Computer
or
Local Area Network = LAN
or
Wide Area Network = WAN = Internet

Well the answer is simple; once you request this page it comes from a server that
is connected on the WAN:

The server will transmit the page in HTML code though the WAN. (could be
anywhere)

Your ISP receives it and pass it down the line to you though your modem.

Depending if tour modem is connected to a Gateway or not, it ends up on your
computer and displayed on your monitor.

Yes there is allot more to the process but this is the key points.

On my site I have a good start on understanding what you will need (with links to Videos also) to get your
Home or Small Office network up and going.

CUT / COPY / PASTE

CUT / COPY / PASTE

Three simple words plus a very simple computer function that you will use allot of times and it baffle the newbie's the most of the time!

Allot of my customers try to watch me work trying to pick up some of these trick, but I do them so quick that they do not catch the actions. But once I SLOOOW things down and show them, they love it.

What is CUT / COPY / PASTE and what does it do?

CUT - This will remove it from the original location and Paste (move) it to a new location of your choosing.

COPY - This will make a copy of the original and you Paste a copy of it to the locations of your choosing.

PASTE - This is the finalizing of the cut or copy function. And you can paste it into multiple location from one cut or copy action (will change what you will paste each time you cut or copy something new)

How do you cut or copy something?

You will need to HIGHLIGHT or select what ever you wish to Cut or Copy ; once cut or copy is completed, it will act like nothing has happen so don't get nevus. Once you use the Paste command it will let you know by putting the information or item there, you did it right.

And in MS Windows you always have several ways of doing the same thing:

RIGHT CLICK your mouse button is request of commands. So right click over the highlighted area slide down to copy or cut and left click it; now you've copy or cut the item.

You will also see an icon in the command bar of the widow you are in; left click the icon to copy the highlighted area.

Left click on the word "Edit" slide down to the copy function and left click to copy the highlighted area.

There is still a couple more way though the Keyboard commands. This is carried over from DOS and they still work.
